Individuals face various difficulties in their lives. Children and young people also face some difficulties brought by their age, time, place and socio-cultural environment, or some problems that they perceive as difficulties. It is thought that spiritual counseling education can be carried out in schools in order to eliminate these negativities. In some countries such as America, England and Singapore, teachers working in schools are given spiritual counseling training and they are provided to help their students. The problems handled within the scope of pastoral care can be related to daily life problems as well as moral and religious issues. In this study, the concept of spiritual counseling in schools, the need for this service, the principles and methods of its application are mentioned. It is considered important to provide a pastoral care service at schools that will help children and young people in their various inquiries about life issues, friendship relations and communication language problems. This study theoretically discusses the need for spiritual counseling at school.
